Integrating your childhood self

I have a new Beyond-the-Basics class that I'm offering to my students. It's a class directly geared towards integrating your childhood self in to your adult self.

Here's what my two-year old self drew today:

And... it's only sixteen more days until I attend CanTangle! Can't wait to learn more cool tools to teach my students.

Love is Love

I love love. I don't care who's in love with who... all I care about is that people are happy. That they are living their bliss and... honestly... I don't even care about that. Cause it's none of my business if people are happy or not.

I do care if I'm happy though, and knowing my kids, grandkids etc. will be legally allowed to marry who they love is a gift.

Ya I know... I live in Canada and it's been legal in Canada for while now... but it still makes me smile knowing my friends an family in the US can marry if they wish.

So on that note... I drew a ZIA and then I used Inktense pencils to watercolour it.

Love is love.

Online Basics Zentangle class

I taught my first online class today to a student in Australia. She did great!!!

So cool how distance means nothing with the internet at our fingertips!

Zentangle Class in Chilliwack BC

Yesterday we shared some zen in Chilliwack. It was a great class.

We were at a farm in Chilliwack and a baby horse (only a few weeks old) was dancing around outside the window at times - sharing in our creative flow!

Two of the students had already taken my Basics class so we did some different tangles and variations on some we'd already covered. Once we have enough students who have taken the Basics class we'll be moving on to the Black Tile and Renaissance Tiles classes!

Here's some photos from the day:

Our Zen store all set up.

Table ready...

If you are interested in taking a class... anywhere from Hope BC to Squamish BC (and the entire Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland in between)... please contact me to set up a class near you!

Gift for Kelly Barone

I created this today for Kelly Barone. She's a CZT and has recently opened a studio and wants to cover two of her walls with Zentangle tiles done by CZTs world-wide.

How cool it that!

So here's mine. I'll be mailing it off tomorrow.

Homeschooling Zentangle Class 6-11-15

Today I had a huge treat. I taught a really great class with a family of homeschoolers! As a homeschooling mom (for over twenty years now) I love teaching art to kids. So being asked to come and teach this family was such a treat.

And they did great!!! The kids ages ranged from age 5 to 11 and of course Mom was also involved.

They had a blast!

Here's their mosaics:

If you are interested in booking a class... send me an email and we'll set one up! timelessspirit@shaw.ca

Apprentice Tile Class

Did you know that I teach kids and the elderly - and anyone else who needs a bit bigger tile  - classes on a larger tile than a regular/standard Zentangle tile?

We have a pen that's more user-friendly (not as delicate) as well.

Here's a class I did today...

Black Tile Class - CZT

I teach a black tile class. So I thought I'd do a larger piece to demonstrate just how gorgeous working with a black tile can be!

Hope you like it.

Watercolour Markers

I grabbed some watercolour markers to complete this piece. I love it!!! It didn't photograph as nicely as it is in-person.

I love this one!

I really enjoyed creating this piece. It started by the pool in Arizona... continued at the airport... and then I completed it at the park with the kids while playing D&D.

The top left lines (inside the beaded circle) are the pattern from our picnic blanket!
